Can Chiropractic care make you more attractive?
At first, you may think that’s a funny question. There is no way a correlation can be made between chiropractic care and attractiveness, right?
While it may sound silly in your mind right now, think about it this way: Have you ever noticed that people who are standing upright and are able to look you straight in the eye are more attractive?
On the other hand, have you noticed that those with health problems or are in pain hold themselves in a different manner?
Generally speaking, those who are in a lot of pain walk more in a hunched posture in order to deal with their discomfort. Also, it is very difficult to keep a happy, cheerful personality when you’re in pain which can lead to a lack of self-confidence.
Just think about it, if you stub your toe on a dresser or chair and that agonizing pain races through your body all at once, are you going to smile about it? I know I wouldn’t!
Try this exercise really quickly: Sit or stand nice and tall and take a big deep breath in through your mouth and then exhale. Nice and easy right? Now hunch your body forward into a crouched position and try to do the same exact thing. Posture makes a HUGE difference doesn’t it?
Poor posture is something that many of us suffer from these days. With all the advances in technology (cell phones, tablets, etc.) and a sedentary lifestyle, many of us start to develop rounding shoulders, loss of postural curves in our spine and an increase in stress all throughout our bodies. This is something chiropractors see, and are able to help with, on a daily basis.
Achieving a more ideal posture will:
Bring your rounded shoulders back and push your chest out
Open up your rib cage improving your ability to breathe
Improve your ability to look someone in the eyes
Improve your ability to deal with stress
Make you stand taller
Stretch out your abdominal muscles to make you appear slimmer
Strengthen the neck and low back curves in the spine (and we all know, curves are SEXY!)
Chiropractic care is a strategic approach to correcting postural abnormalities with the delivery of specific spinal manipulations. The improvements chiropractic care can offer affect both your overall health and your appearance! And if you’re still looking for a date this Valentine’s Day, chiropractic care in Collegedale may be just the solution for you.
